Serena wins a thriller at US Kids Indian Championship Inbox

New Delhi, 31 January; Serena Vikram Singh of Noida held her nerves as she overcame overnight leader Kayla Perera to claim the Girls 15-18 title on the sixth play-off hole in the US Kids Indian Championship golf at the Classic Golf Resort near Manesar on Friday

The play-off was necessitated after both the players finished their stipulated three rounds at an identical score of 237. For the records Kayla shot an 8-over 80 while Serena signed a final round card of 74.

Kolkata boys hogged the limelight with Joysurjo Dey shooting a 1-under par 71 to topple the overnight leader Aryan Kaila of Delhi and win the Boys’ 15-18 category title ny a margin of two strokes. His citymates Prashant Agarwal and Aditya Khaitan made it 1-2 finish in the Boys’ 11 category with the former winning by a solitary stroke. The Boys’ 12 category was also fiercely contested with South African Shazrai Shazrul winning by a stroke from Kuldeep Dhesi of Jalandhar.
