New Delhi: Most wanted Uttar Pradesh Gangster Vikas Dubey, accused in the killing of eight policemen in an encounter in Kanpur, has been arrested from Madhya Pradesh after a massive hunt of about a week.
The gangsters was arrested from Mahakal temple of Ujjain, a NDTV report said.
He was identified by the guard of the temple, following which he informed the police.
Vikas Dubey was carrying a reward of five lakh rupees on his head.
On Friday, eight policemen in Uttar Pradesh were shot dead when they had gone to arest the gangster at Bikru village in Kanpur.
As the policemen neared his house, they faced indiscriminate firing from all sides by Vikas dubey and his associates.
The firing carried out by AK-47s claimed the life of Deputy Superintendent of Police, Divendra Kumar Mishra, three sub-inspectors and four constables.
