Trump arrives in India on historic visit

Ahmedabad: US President Donald Trump today arrived to a red-carpet welcome here on a historic two-day visit to India duriung which some major deals relating to security, defence and other areas were expected to be inke.

The much expected trade deal, however, is not going to be signed as the two sides said some work is yet to be done.

President accompanied by wife Milania Trump landed at the Ahmedabad airport in their Air Fore 1 plane at 11:40 hrs, and were welcomed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

President Trump soon after his arrival left for Sabaramati Ashram from there, he will go to Motera stadium where at the ‘Namaste Trump’ event, he and Modi will be addressing a massive crowd.

The US President’s daughter Ivanka Trump and his son-in-law Jared Kushner, besides a hig-level delagation are also accompanying him.

This is the fifth meeting of Modi and Trump in the last eight months.
