I want peace, but Iran will never be allowed to have nuclear weapons: Trump

Jan 8, 2020
Washington: In his first statement after the Iran missile attack on US troops in Iraq, President Donald Trump today vowed that Iran will never be allowed to have nuclear weapon, but said he wanted peace ”with those who seek it.

”As long as I am the President of the United States, Iran will never be allowed to have nuclear weapons,” Trump said in a statement to the Press in the White House.

He claimed that none of his soldiers lost life in the last night’s attack by Iran, and said American forces were prepared for anything, and were fully equipped to ward off any attack and safeguard the American lives .

The US forces were stronger than ever before, and the country had the best of military equipment but it does not mean that it will use it, and does not want to use it, he said.

Describing IRGC chief major general Qasem Soleimani as to terrorist of the world, President Trump justified his killing, saying his hands were drenched in the blood of American soldiers and Iranian people.

No Americans were harmed in last night’s attack by Iranian Regime. Only minimal damage was done to the base, he said.

”US forces are prepared for anything, but for now, Iran appears to be standing down,’ TRump said

”Iran is the leading sponsor of terrorism and its pusuit of nuclear weapons threatens the civilised world. We will never let that happen.

The US President warned that the US will impose “additional punishing sanctions” on Iran, adding that the powerful sanctions will remain so long as the country did change its behaviour.

He described the nuclear deal with Iran as a ”very foolish act” of the previous administration, and wanted a new deal to replace 2015 one.

Calling on Europe and other parties, such as Russia and China, to the 2015 Iran nuclear accord to abandon the deal and negotiate a new one, Trump said that he would ask Nato to “become much more involved” in the Middle East.

He also sought to undelrine that the US was the number one producer of oil and natural gas did not require the Middle East oil.

Trump said he wanted Iranian people to have great future, and he wanted to embrace peace with all those who sought it.
