Madhuri Dixit recreates Pakistani girl’s viral dance, Mera Dil Yeh Pukare Aaja; trolled

Madhuri Dixit, who was last seen as a judge on the celebrity dance reality show ‘Jhalak Dikhla Jaa’, has become one of the first Indian celebrities to give her own spin on the viral remixed song, Mera Dil Yeh Pukare Aaja, first made popular last month by a young Pakistani woman, Ayesha, at a wedding. The dancing diva is making everyone groove with the latest video on Instagram. However, there are many who trolled her brutally.

One user wrote, “Extremely sad that Madhuri has to jump on pathetic trends (with no dance, just drunk body touching moves) to stay relevant! The pressure of social media trends is real. And real pathetic.” Another one wrote: “Not a video on this trend mam.’ One said ‘it has become irritating.’

Pakistani girl Ayesha originally performed Mera Dil Yeh Pukare Aaja at a wedding on November 11. It was when DJ Usman Bhatti’s remix of it first caught the attention of online users. The young Pakistani girl immediately rose to sudden fame. Since then, she has gained popularity in other dances as well.

Madhuri Dixit added her own flair to the remixed version of the iconic song, which was taken from the 1954 black-and-white smash hit Nagin.  The actor was seen in the video singing along while dancing in her vanity vehicle while wearing a sheer beaded sari. The gorgeous Bollywood beauty largely follows the dance’s original moves while incorporating some of her own moves. This has not been appreciated by many social media users. One person wrote: Did not expect his from her.”

Notwithstanding, social media influencers across the two otherwise hostile nations have posted online versions of the popular song in the aim of becoming popular themselves.

The Bollywood star who continues to enthuse millions for more than three decades with her extraordinary dance numbers as well as acting has on several occasions in the past was trolled. In September this year, she was trolled for alleged face surgery. Before this in March, she was trolled for renting a flat worth 12.5 lakh per month.
