Bollywood superstar Salman Khan to perform in Saudi Arabia

RIYADH: ‘Da-Bangg The Tour—Reloaded’, Salman Khan’s hugely popular international event held across the globe, is coming to Riyadh with a bang on December 10, 2021.  “Are you ready for the biggest event of the year?” the superstar asked on Instagram. To be held in the Saudi capital, the concert will feature Salman along with Bollywood stalwarts like Shilpa Shetty, Jacqueline Fernandez, Prabhu Deva, Saiee Manjrekar, Guru Randhawa, Aayush Sharma, Kamaal Khan, Maniesh Paul and Sunil Grover.

Turki Al-Sheikh, chief of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority (GEA), confirmed the concert of Salman Khan on his Twitter account here. Salman and his team are going to perform in Saudi Arabia. But so far, it has not been revealed whether this event will be telecast live or not. Al-Sheikh has shared a poster of Salman Khan with the date of his visit. Salman also retweeted Al-Sheikh’s tweet and wrote that “Domineering! I look forward to seeing you all in the Riyadh Season on December 10.”


Khan’s tweet has been retweeted more than 2,000 times and hundreds of Twitter users have also commented on it. Following the reaction of users on Twitter, it seems that after the announcement of Salman Khan’s participation, his fans are excited to see the live performance of their mega Bollywood star. The Da-Bangg Reloaded worldwide tour includes several other Bollywood stars, including notable celebrities such as Shilpa Shetty, Sunil Grover, Saaie Manjrekar, and Jacqueline Fernandez. Guru Randhawa, musician and actor, will also be performing throughout the Middle East as part of this tour.

All the celebrities and many more will play in front of live audiences in Riyadh. This international tour will be Khan’s second big project at the end of 2021. The tour is named after Dabangg (Fearless), a 2010 Bollywood action-comedy film with Khan as the main actor. Khan’s latest film “Antim: The Final Truth” has released on screens across Saudi Arabia during the weekend. It is noteworthy that Khan was also a guest on “The Evening with the Stars” event, one of many activities on the Sharqiah Season held in March 2019 in Saudi Arabia.

The event took place at Ithra, King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture, Dhahran, where thousands of Salman Khan’s fans gathered. The audience comprised mostly of the Indian community within the region, as they were chanting the international artist’s name amid applause and cheers from fans in the center, which was filled to capacity. The hour-long event, hosted by journalist Raya Abi Rashed, was attended by a huge and enthusiastic audience.

The excited fans continuously called out Salman Khan’s name throughout the interview, during which he talked about his three-decade career in filmmaking and highlighted details about acting and movies. He also engaged the audience with interesting stories about his character and his creative life. The General Entertainment Authority has already announced the sale of tickets for the Salman Khan concert to be held after four days from now, on December 10. For purchasing the tickets, any person needs to open an account with a simple registration process where he or she will have to provide the user’s name, email address, mobile number, and date of birth. The tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable. There was an official declaration by Riyadh Seasons 2021: “Instead of traveling the world, the world is brought to you in one place.” This year’s Riyadh Season events will go on till March 2022 under the slogan “Imagine More,” with more than 7,500 events across 14 zones in Riyadh.

Since it is a global festival, many tourists across the world join in to have fun and explore the culture. The live performances and concerts add life to the event. Al-Sheikh announced the launch of Riyadh Season 2021 on October 20, 2021, under the slogan “Just Imagine More”. Al-Sheikh also stated that Riyadh Season, which occupies an area of 5.4 million square meters distributed across 14 zones, is the work of Saudi hands and will dazzle the world throughout 7,500 entertainment days, including 70 Arab concerts. These are in addition to six international concerts, 10 international exhibitions, 350 theatrical performances, 18 Arabic plays, and six international plays, besides one freestyle wrestling tournament, two international competitions, and 100 interactive experiences. The season is also hosting 200 restaurants and 70 coffee shops catering to a wide range of tastes and age groups.
