Temple Trust meet: 9-member religious committee formed, spokesperson chosen for better communication

New Delhi: The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, holding a crucial meeting in Ayodhya to fill up vacancies and pick its first-ever Chief Executive Officer (CEO), has decided to defer the decision by about a month but appointed a spokesperson for handling the temple’s communication effectively, in light of the donation embezzlement controversy.

The Trust, in a special meeting held in the complex, finalised the appointment of a full-time General Secretary and decided to reconstitute its religious committee to ensure the preservation of traditional authenticity and purity in the rituals and worship conducted within the temple complex.

The new religious committee comprises nine members who are Jagadguru Shankaracharya Jyotishpeethadhipati, Shri Vasudevanand Saraswati Ji Maharaj, Madhvapithadhipati Swami Vishwaprasannatirtha Ji Maharaj, Swami Yugpurush Parmanand Ji, Swami Dinendradas Ji (Nirmohi Akhara), Swami Kamalnayandas Ji (Maniram Chhavani), Mahant Rajkumar Das Ji (Ramavallabh Kunj), Swami Ramanand Das Ji (Ram Katha Kunj), and Swami Mithileshnandini Sharan Ji.

The selection and appointment of the CEO is likely to take a month from now, given the humungous applications received for the position. The selection committee is currently in the process of screening applications, reviewing their eligibility and shortlisting candidates based on their credentials.

“The committee constituted to select the CEO requested an additional month, citing the need for more time due to the large number of applications received. Considering the gravity of the matter and the prevailing circumstances, the Board of Trustees accepted this request,” said an official release.

The Trust, in its statement, further said that the Board has taken stock of efforts being made to fill vacant trustee positions and that completing the important tasks would require a few more weeks.

It also informed that the stream of pilgrims visiting the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple for darshan remains steady, despite the malicious propaganda and range of allegations.

“This serves as proof that the faith and belief of millions of Ram devotees remain unshaken, even in the face of baseless, false, and misleading accusations,” it said.
