  • AAP used money generated from Delhi liquor scam for election campaigning in Goa
  • Cash payments to the tune of Rs 70 lakh were made to volunteers of the survey teams
  • Vijay Nair received Rs 100 crore from the ‘South group’ as advance for licenses in liquor policy

The Enforcement Directorate is being used by the Centre to destabilise his government and the chargesheets of the probe agency are “fictional”, said Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal.

Kejriwal said, “The Enforcement Directorate must have filed 5,000 cases..It is meant to topple governments and buy and sell MLAs,” he added. He termed that the chargesheet “completely fictional.”

The CM made the claim soon after the ED, in its chargesheet, alleged that the AAP used the money generated from the alleged Delhi liquor scam for election campaigning in Goa. Kejriwal said the claims made by the probe agency are “completely fictional”.

The ED in its new chargesheet said that an accused in the Delhi Liquor scam – AAP communications in-charge Vijay Nair – had arranged a FaceTime video call from his phone between Sameer Mahendru, chief of Indospirits and Kejriwal.

On behalf of AAP leaders, Vijay Nair received ₹ 100 crore from the “South group” as advance for licenses in Delhi liquor policy, the agency has alleged.

“Vijay is my boy, you should trust him and carry on with him,” Kejriwal had apparently told Sameer Mahendru, the Enforcement Directorate has claimed in the chargesheet, which has been accessed by NDTV. Kejriwal is not named in the chargesheet as an accused.

According to the chargesheet, AAP used the money from liquor scam for its election campaign in Goa. Besides, cash payments to the tune of Rs 70 lakh were made to volunteers of the survey teams, the agency has alleged.
