Guwahati, 11th August 2021: flybig, the scheduled commuter airlines, is geared to commence first ever services on Tezu –Guwahati route from 16th August 2021 under Government of India’s Regional Connectivity Scheme (UDAN-RCS).
Air connectivity in Arunachal Pradesh has streamlined travel in the region. Tezu is a heaven for natural beauty admirers with picturesque valleys, lakes and wildlife waiting to be explored. This new flight path will prove to be a milestone in generating more tourism that will advance overall economic welfare of the city.
Announcing the launch of the new route, Gaurav Rathore, Chief Commercial Officer, flybig said, “It gives me immense pride to announce that we have successfully established air connectivity in Tezu providing people of this city the freedom to travel via air. This challenging phase of the pandemic has reiterated the importance of air connectivity and we are committed to bring air connectivity to the underserved areas in the country.
Arunachal Pradesh now has a strong air network with earlier Pasighat and now Tezu activating air service.
Tezu – Guwahati flights will operate with a frequency of four flights per week. The launch fares start from INR 1199 making it possible for a larger number of people to travel by flight.
Commemorating India’s 75th Independence Day, flybig is offering a special fare of INR 75 to army officers, their immediate family members and senior citizens, honouring their exemplary service to the nation. The offer is valid on Tezu – Guwahati and Guwahati – Pasighat flights for travel this August. Passengers can make their bookings either on flybig website or through online travel agencies and regional travel partners.
Additionally, flybig is reintroducing the Delhi – Shillong connectivity as per the arrangement with Meghalaya Transport Corporation from 16th August 2021. Passengers can now make the booking for this service.
