Jamia Hamdard students express Kalam’s idea of India

Jamia Hamdard University students participating in a post competition on the birth anniversary of former president of India Dr APJ Abdul Kalam in New Delhi on Tuesday.

New Delhi: The young generation has fairly good sense of the idea of India as held dear by Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, as a poster competition organised by the Law School of Jamia hamdard on Oct 15, the birth anniversary of the great visionary former president of India, indicated.

One of the student has chosen the theme of how money power interferes in the delivery of justice, and how access to justice should be made available, while another showed the diversity of India and how it was the hallmark of Indian democracy. Another poster underlined how the compliance of law was a must for the preservation of democracy etc.

Dean of the Hamdard Law School SM Khan, who has been press secretray to Dr Kalam when he held the country’s highest post, said the events like these involving students were aimed at reminding the young generation about the legacy of the great scientist and the great visionary of India.

He said he was Dr Kalam was very popular among students who held them as their ideal teacher, and an ideal leader, who as president of India did more than adorning the highest post of the country, constantly working on his vision for the development of India.

The theme of the poster competition was law and Society, and students from all the faculties of the university participated.
